Academy & Program Coach, Jon coaches the:

• 11, 9 & 8 and Under Academy
• 9 & Under Flyers
• Yellow Flyers
• Tennis Xpress
• Red/Orange/Green Hot Shots

Jon coaches because he enjoys seeing his players rapidly progress. His goal is to help players reach their maximum potential and develop a lifelong passion for Tennis.

He believes the behaviors learnt from Tennis (such as: Respect, Work Ethic, Professionalism, Competitiveness), assist his players to succeed not just on the court, but in other areas of their life too.

Jon provides private coaching to Junior players who play competitively, whether it be tournaments, Interclub and/or EKT World Tour Events. He also coaches adults privately during weekdays.

Jon is highly committed to professional development, which is evident by the number of qualifications and seminars he has achieved/attended in the last 3 years.

• International Tennis Federation Level Two Club Pro (to be completed in 2023)

• Auckland University of Technology Bachelor of Business

Playing Experience

• Member of Caro Bowl Reserve and First Grade Interclub teams
• Key member of the Waiata Epsom team that won Auckland’s Summer Interclub First Grade competition in 2003
• ITF Seniors ranking of 425 in the world in 2019 (35-40 years age group)
• From 9-17 years of age Jon played junior regional and national tournaments in New Zealand and Australia.
• Member of Auckland teams and squads during the above period.
